Health & Safety

Hazards - Big Brother

  • Usually "Negative" entry to the water from the RIB
  • Shark sightings at the northern and southern tips
  • Steep walls - Watch your depth!
  • Strong currents - Always stay close to the reef
  • The Numidia is one of the most beautiful shipwrecks in the area
  • Strong waves possible - Take care when entering and exiting the RIB

  • Frequent shark sightings at the Northern and Southern tips
  • Strong currents—always stay close to the reef
  • Be prepared for changes in the current's direction during the dive
  • Steep walls—watch your depth

Hazards - Daedalus Reef

  • Occasional hammerhead sightings at the northern tip
  • Giant colony of anemones on the western wall
  • Steep walls watch your depth
  • Check the current before diving, especially when entering to the north

Hazards - Elphinstone

  •  Strong currents possible
  • Always remain close to the reef
  • The Arch is beyond the depth limit of recreational diving
  • Steep drop-offs—watch your depth

Marine Park North - BDE - (MPN)

  • 1st day transfer from the airport to the ship, transfer of the Cabins from 4 pm, dinner
  • Day 2 Departure after approval by the Coast Guard; Check dive and another 1-2 dives in different places; crossing during the night to the Brothers
  • Day 3 &4 Big or Small Brothers
  • Day 5 & 6 Daedalus
  • Day 7 - 2 dives at Elphinstone Reef or different reefs; Return to the port on afternoon
  • Day 8 Breakfast on departure day; Cabins must be vacated by 10am; stay on the boat until airport transfer possible by arrangement


Marine Park South 1 - (Daedalus Rocky-Zabargad)

  • Day 1 transfer from the airport to the ship, transfer of the Cabins from 4 pm, dinner
  • Day 2 Departure after approval by the Coast Guard; Check dive and another 1-2 dives in different places; crossing during the night to the Daedalus reef
  • Day 3 & 4 Daedalus Reef
  • Day 5 Rocky, Zabargad
  • Day 6 Fury Shoals or Wadi Gimal
  • Day 7 - 2 dives at Elphinstone Reef or different reefs; Return to the port on afternoon
  • Day 8 Breakfast on departure day; Cabins must be vacated by 10am; stay on the boat until airport transfer

  • Day 3 Rocky, Zabargad
  • Dat 4 Habili Ali, Habili Gafar; Gota Habili
  • Day 5 Gota Soraya, Umm Harahim
  • Day 6 Fury Shoals or Wadi Gimal
  • Day 7 - 2 dives at Elphinstone Reef or different reefs; Return to the port on afternoon
  • Day 8 Breakfast on departure day; Cabins need to be up be cleared at 10 o'clock; Stay at the boat until Airport transfer on request
